Read In Week 2016

This year marks the 26th year since Read In Week was created to raise awareness for the importance of literacy. It was determined that the significance of literacy must begin with young children Kindergarten – Grade 12 and carry on to adults in the form of life-long learning.

As part of Read In Week, Rob and Davy visited Neil M Ross Catholic Elementary School in St. Albert and Windsor Park School in Edmonton and read The Davy Rule to approximately 350 students from Kindergarten – Grade 6.

The students had fun meeting Davy, learning about acceptance, kindness, determination and self awareness and getting to enjoy the beautiful illustrations by illustrator Shannon Darch.

Below are some photos from Rob and Davy’s visits. Thanks Monica and Rosaleen for the opportunity!
